Introduction
Under the leadership of Emirati artist Jalal Luqman, this workshop will provide a unique opportunity for experienced digital artist to learn new techniques and to extend their skills in this innovative creative discipline.
The workshop will focus on six specific areas:
• THE ARTWORK – determining the size; quick portrait painting; learning the tools; getting to know what you can do
• THE SOURCES – working from photo, video, 3-d or from scratch; whatever can be used as a reference and a resource
• MERGING AND MATCHING – perfecting the source for painting; putting together the perfect subject
• PREPARATION – adding drama, brightness, contrast, lighting, shading; whatever makes the painting talk
• THE DETAILING – adding the magic and the mystery; what is that reflected in her eye . . .
• THE FINISHING – from conception to completion; prepare for print
This is an excellent workshop for artists/designers with some experience in the use of Photoshop and Corel Painter, who wish to develop their individual digital creativity.
