Open Space

In her new work for her 'Open Space' exhibition German born artist Ines A. Landmesser reflects the fast growth and developments of the Emirates andespecially Abu Dhabi. At the same time she portraits personal and social themes by creating individual so called open spaces.
Although red is the dominant color in many of her abstract and semi-abstract works,she uses earth colors and warm bronze and golden tints in her oilbar theme- paintings. A special layering technique adds depths to various images and creates a stimulating richt exture. -'' Painting is more than just an image - the inside should be discovered by the viewer to absorb her/his own impression of the work and discover their very own connection to the meaning of the painting. '
She has been commissioned to produce paintings for corporate spaces by variousreputed companies and prestigious institutions and contributed to the CamelCaravan und Arabian Horse projects in the Emirates. Ines is a member of the Emirates Fine Arts Society and joined many exhibitions in theSharjah Museum where she received a major prize for her work in 2001. In 2005 she exhibited in the Women's Biennial Sharjah. Since several yearsshe holds regular solo exhibitions and joined exhibitions in the UAE and Germany showcasing her paintings and ceramic work.
